Before booking, have the forwarder identify the arrival port, release arrangements and transport assumptions. Give the receiving team the VIN list and departure condition record. An estimated sailing date should not conceal an outstanding import requirement.

Can a business use a personal exception to import used cars into Colombia?
Have the importer identify a legal route for the actual buyer and purpose. The Ministry of Transport treats used-car exceptions separately from ordinary commercial sourcing. An exception for a qualifying individual does not establish a dealer’s resale route.
Does importing an electric car remove the VUCE and document checks?
Ask the importer which registrations, approvals or licences apply to that specific vehicle. Its powertrain is part of the classification file; it does not replace the importer, documentation and local-use review.
